Burcu Başaran is a sustainability strategist and supply chain leader with over a decade of experience bridging
international trade, ESG integration, and circular economy solutions. As the Founder and Director of MBc
Sustainability (mindful business), she has guided companies in Turkey and Europe toward compliance with
the EU Green Deal, carbon reduction, and sustainable transformation, while facilitating certifications such as
RSPO and ISO 14064.
Her expertise lies in transforming complex sustainability challenges into actionable strategies, ranging from
reducing corporate carbon footprints to integrating ESG practices into global supply chains. She has advised
organizations across the agribusiness, manufacturing, and hospitality sectors, aligning their operations with the
UN SDGs and driving measurable environmental and social impact.
Burcu holds a Master’s in Women’s Studies, an Executive MBA, and a PhD in International Business Administration with a focus on circular economy in product innovation. A Cambridge-certified sustainability professional, she actively contributes to UN Global Compact and Women’s Empowerment Principles initiatives.
