Maryrose Francica is a leading figure in entrepreneurship and digital empowerment, with over two decades of experience managing EU-funded programmes focused on innovation, skills development, and business transformation. She is the founder of Skills Zone Malta, a dynamic organisation established in 2020 to support individuals and organisations in navigating change through entrepreneurship, soft skills, and digital
upskilling.
Throughout her career, Maryrose has successfully led numerous projects under programmes such as Erasmus+, Horizon 2020, and Lifelong Learning, helping businesses and individuals adapt to the fast-evolving
digital landscape. She is particularly passionate about ensuring that digital transformation is inclusive, sustainable, and accessible to all.
A vocal advocate for women’s empowerment, she co-founded Women Elevation Malta in 2024 Her work bridges the gap between gender equality and digital innovation, offering mentorship, training, and strategic
support to women entrepreneurs across Malta and Europe.
Maryrose also serves on several national and international boards, including the Malta Women’s Lobby, and sit on the European Women’s Lobby Women’s Politics Committee. Her expertise and commitment have
earned her roles as a juror for the Global Startup Awards for the past five years and in 2021 she was nominated for Malta’s Female Entrepreneur of the Year award.
